Alcide Cormier, 68, of Leominster, died Thursday evening, December 17, 2015 in Health Alliance Leominster Hospital.

He was born September 5, 1947, in St. Antoine, NB, Canada, son of the late Narcisse and Rita (Hazelman) Cormier. Mr. Cormier worked for Novacor (formerly known as Polysar) for 31 years, then as a tow truck driver for Acme Auto Body for 17 years. He was a member of St. Cecilia's Parish, and the Leominster Rod and Gun Club.

When Al wasn't working, you could find him in his garage fixing almost anything and everything. When the garage door was up it was an open invitation for people to stop by.

Alcide was a Loving Husband, Devoted Father and Proud Pepere.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lisette M. (Doucette) Cormier, of Leominster, two daughters;, Karen Cormier, and her fiancé, Brenden Gore, of Leominster and Kimberly Perry, and her husband, Thomas of Orange, MA. He was Pepere to 5 grandchildren; Ashley, Karia, Raeanne, Ethan Perry and Hendrix Gore. Al also leaves his close Aunt and Uncle, Flora and Gerard Poirier, of Moncton, NB, Canada, along with nieces, nephews and friends.

Besides his parents, Alcide was predeceased by two brothers, Harvey Cormier and Maurice Cormer.

Al will be sorely missed by all those that knew and loved him.

CORMIER -- Mr. Cormier's Funeral will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2015, from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West St., Leominster, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church, 168 Mechanic Street, Leominster. Calling hours will be held Monday, December 21, 2015 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
