US Army Air Corps Veteran. Bob Drum Sr was a well known golf writer and commentator, best known for chronicling Arnold Palmer's rise in the golf industry. He wrote for the Pittsburgh Press before becoming a commentator for CBS. He and his wife Mary Jane were the parents of five children.
