John served in the United States Air Force for 4 years and the United States Army for 2 years. He was a 1979 graduate of Wauconda High School in Illinois and a 1990 graduate of Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 11 am-12 pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be held at 12 pm. Burial will follow in Union Grove Cemetery.
