Arlene M. Schneider, age 85, a Manitowoc resident, died Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at St. Mary's Home at the Felician Village, Manitowoc.

Arlene was born on February 13, 1929 in rural Valders, daughter of the late Herman C. and Magdalen (Schwoerer) Holzer. She was a graduate of St. Gregory Grade School and later of Valders High School with the class of 1946. On August 21, 1948 she married Sylvester J. Schneider at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz. He preceded her in death on November 3, 2007. Arlene was President and Co-Driver with her late husband for SYL-AR Trucking Company. She spent 10 years co-driving with her late husband Sylvester, having many great experiences as few women drove with their husbands as a team. Arlene was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, a member of the Christian Women, post treasurer of the Women's VFW Auxiliary Post 8974 and also was a member and past treasurer of Home Communication and Education-Ever Readies.

Survivors include five sons and three daughters-in-law: James and Terrie Schneider, West Bend, Jerry and RevaJo Schneider, Gaffney, SC, Jeffrey and Jellane Schneider, Reedsville, Jay Schneider, West Bend, Jon Schneider, Minnesota; one daughter and son-in-law: Janet and Mark King, Little Chute; 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law: Herman and Bette Holzer, Manitowoc; four brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law: Rosie Schneider, Valders, Lawrence (Shirley) Schneider, Newton, Dorothy Kutz, Valders, Betty (Donald) Wallender, Two Rivers, Mary Ann (Tony) Lipski, Manitowoc, and Mark Pupeter, Two Rivers. She was also preceded in death by two children: Judy and Joseph; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Catherine (Fritz) Bonde, Deloris (John) Chopick; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers-in-law: Francis and Norman; and a sister-in-law: Agnes.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill, on Friday, January 23, 2015. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Patrick Nelson, SDS with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, January 23, 2015 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.
