Mrs. Edward Basken, 79, of Melnik, Rt. 1, Whitelaw, died Tuesday evening at Two Rivers Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. Michael Koch will officiate with burial in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.

Mrs. Basken, nee Lillian Huletz, was born Aug. 7, 1896, in the Town of Gibson, daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Huletz. She was married to Edward Basken Dec. 29, 1915. They farmed in the Town of Gibson where they resided at the present time.

Survivors include her husband, three sons, Clarence, of Tisch Mills, Norman, of Rt. 2, Manitowoc, and Allan, of Rt. 1, Whitelaw; two daughters, Mrs. Irene Warm, of Janesville and Mrs. John (Lorraine) Miller, of Two Rivers; a sister, Mrs. Emma Bonin and a step-sister, Mrs. William Soukup, of Manitowoc, a half- brother, Clarence Huletz, of Maribel; 28 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Two brothers, two grandchildren and a great grandchild preceded her in death.

Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Friday, where a wake service will be at 8:15 p.m.
