Mrs. Emma Kerscher, 88, of Francis Creek, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening, November 19, 1986 at home. Funeral services will be 10 am Saturday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville and 10:30 am at St. Anne Catholic church, Francis Creek. The Rev. Donald Schneider officiating and being assisted by Rev. John Haen and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Kerscher, nee Emma Hassemer, was born March 4, 1898 in the Town of Kossuth, daughter of the late Louis and Margaret Seidl Hassemer. She was married to Frank Kerscher, June 23, 1919 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The couple operated a farm for 15 years and then moved to Francis Creek. Mrs. Kerscher was a member of Christian Mothers and Altar Society of St. Anne Church, Francis Creek - Rockwood Senior Citizens. Her husband preceded her in death December 11, 1967.

Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Sylvia and Albert Bolzenthal of rural Two Rivers, Marian and Joseph Porubcansky of Francis Creek, Marcella and Leo Dirkman of Francis Creek and June and Paul Freimuth of Kellnersville; a sister, Mrs. Ann Glaeser of Manitowoc; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; three brothers; three sisters and an infant grandson.

Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, 4 pm to 9 pm Friday and Saturday until the time of services. A prayer service will be 7:30 pm Friday by Father Schneider, Christian Mothers and Altar Society.
