Obituary. Claudia Stokes Thurman 4/30/09 ~ 6/18/03 Born April 30, 1909 to Jeremiah and Eugenia Neff Stokes. Married Allan Curtis Thurman, June 3, 1938 in the Salt Lake Temple. He died October 24, 1979. Graduate of U of U. Teacher in Granite School District. Member of Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Past ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple. Teacher in Relief Society, Primary, and Sunday School organizations of LDS Church. She was a member of Harvard Dames Club, Salt Lake County Medical Auxiliary, U of U Women's Club; was past President of Delta Gama Mothers Club. She is survived by A. Robert Thurman, Susan T. Mitchell, David J. Thurman; six grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter Coralynne T. Garff. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 23, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, where friends may call from 12:45-1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
