Marquita Kay Ward Bower, 52, of St. Augustine, Fla., passed away Friday (July 3, 2015) at her residence.
Cremation rights have been accorded at St. John’s Family Funeral Home and Crematory St Augustine, Fla. Celebration of Life will be held Sept. 26 in Decatur. Condolences and memorials can be made to her sons: Slade and Dalton Bower, Box 201, Danvers, IL 61732 in care of Stacey Ward.
Marquita was born Sept. 29, 1962, in Decatur, the daughter of Gerald E. Ward and Joyce A. Edwards. She attended Warrensburg Latham High School.
Survivoring are sons, Slade J. Bower and Dalton R. Bower, both of Palm Coast, Fla.; mother, Joyce A Ellison of Danvers; brothers, Todd L. (Stacey) Ward of Danvers; Gene E.R. Davis of Decatur; fiancée, James B. Poteat of St. Augustine, Fla.; several nieces, nephews, one uncle and several aunts and cousins.
Her father preceded her in death, along with grandparents, Jack and Thelma Ward and Earl Edwards and Frances Davis; uncles, Ron, Harold and Jack Ward Jr.; and sister-in-law, Pamela Davis.
