Kodi Joy Caine, 16, of Columbia, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018, at Women's & Children's Hospital in Columbia. She was born July 30, 2002, in Columbia, a daughter of Greg Caine and Jennifer (Helvey) Caine.

Kodi was currently attending her Junior year at Battle High School. She loved all types of music, but especially Mickey Gilley. She was thrilled to attend a Mickey Gilley concert, and even got to meet him after the concert. She enjoyed fireworks and watching movies. Most of all, she loved her family, especially her brother and sisters.

Kodi is survived by her mother: Jennifer Caine (fiancée Ashanti Williams) of Columbia; her father: Greg Caine (fiancé Tabatha Lancaster) of Columbia; a sister: Kelsey Caine and a brother: JR Caine, both of Columbia; and sister: Andrea Hammond (husband Tanner) of Indiana; maternal grandmother: Darla Helvey of Columbia; paternal grandparents: Michael & Joyce Caine of Columbia; maternal great-grandmother: Lois Helvey of Eldon; uncle: Jeff & Stephanie Caine and their children: Nicole and Elizabeth; uncle: Jason & Jennifer Helvey and their children: Cooper and Landon; uncle: Jeremiah Helvey and his children: Elijah, Connor, and Lilly. Kodi was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather: Bill Helvey; cousins: Alexander and Benjamin Helvey; and many other family members.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2018, at Parker-Millard Funeral Service. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Oakland Middle School, with burial to follow in Columbia Cemetery.
