GLEN EDWARD ADAMS
1948 – 2018
Glen Edward Adams age 70 of Plattsmouth, NE passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Nebraska Medicine – Bellevue in Bellevue, NE.
He was born on May 10, 1948 to Glen Willis and Norma Rae (Bacon) Adams in Omaha, NE. He was raised and schooled in north Omaha and graduated from North High School with the class of 1966. After graduating from high school, Glen enlisted in the U.S. Army. He proudly served his country for seventeen years. While serving his country Glen completed two tours of duty in Vietnam and had lived in many different locations until the 1980’s, when he made his home in Plattsmouth. After retiring from the Army, Glen worked as a custodian in Plattsmouth. He was a lifetime member of Lepert Wolever V.F.W. Post #2543 in Plattsmouth.
Glen is survived by his three brothers: George Adams and wife Jill of Malvern, IA; Edward Adams and wife Gwen of Plattsmouth, NE; John Adams and wife Julie of Plattsmouth, NE; four sisters: Mary Jo Scott of Plattsmouth, NE; Karen Turco and husband Lucian of Omaha, NE; Debra Bressler and husband Ray of Fremont, NE; Alice Forrest and husband Terry of Fremont, NE; special niece: Karen Walker; special nephews: Jayme, Christopher, Dalton, and Tristan Walker, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Glen and Norma Adams, sister: Elizabeth Yeoman, and two nieces: Sarah and Rachel Ham.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at a later date at Omaha National Cemetery in Omaha.
Military Rites will be conducted by the Nebraska Army National Guard, Military Funeral Honor Guard.
His Final Resting Place will be at the Omaha National Cemetery.
Memorials to the Family (A suitable charity will be chosen at a later date).
