Myron E. Sohn, 87, of Town of Meeme, fell asleep Tuesday morning, October 16, 2018 at Sheboygan Progressive Health Services surrounded by his family.

He was born on January 25, 1931 in Town of Meeme, to the late Elmer & Leona (Wolters) Sohn. Myron attended Spring Valley Grade School and was a 1949 Kiel High School graduate. On August 11, 1951 he married Carlene Ohlrogge at Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church in Newton.

Myron did a daily egg route for F.F. Sepstead of Random Lake and appliance repairs for HC Prange until he began his own business, Sohn Refrigeration Service which he ran for 45 years from 1962 - 2007 in Meeme. Myron was a member of Sessler's Sno-Cruisers, Cleveland Snowhawks, Lakeshore Driftbusters, School Hill Trap Club, Cleveland Fish and Game and lifetime member of St. James UCC. He enjoyed his card club for 60 years, bowling, hunting for deer and raccoon, muskrat trapping, and participating in a stock car racing team. Myron could be found watching NASCAR, or football especially, the Badgers and Packers. He loved traveling the state with Carlene to run field trials with their dogs and winning many awards. He was proud of his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Carlene; his children: Randy (Cindy) Sohn, Howards Grove; John (Barb) Sohn, Cedar Rapids, IA; and Tanya (David Boman) Wasmer, Sheboygan; and his grandchildren: Katie and Dan Sohn; Taylor and Morgan Sohn; and Abby, Ally, and Amanda Wasmer. He is further survived by his sister, Karen Bogenshuetz, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Myron is preceded in death by his parents, brothers-in-law and sister-in-law: LeRoy Bogenshuetz, and Henry and Diane Ohlrogge and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Carl and Elmyra Ohlrogge.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 19, 2018 at St. James UCC (13312 Pioneer Rd, Newton) with Rev. Dr. Ernest Huntzinger officiating. Entombment will follow at Knollwood Memorial Garden.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Church from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established.

The family would like to thank Dr. Kuttickat, Dr. Beiersdorf, Aurora Sheboygan Medical Center, and Sheboygan Progressive Health Services for the care and compassion shown to Myron and his family during his stay.
