Wilbur H. Arendt, 87, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Oshkosh, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, at Tidewell Hospice in Sarasota.

He was born Jan. 30, 1921, in Marshfield to Emil and Martha (Beer) Arendt. Wilbur married Virginia M. Rosenau on Aug. 4, 1945, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Oshkosh. Virginia preceded Wilbur in death in July 1992.
He was 30-plus year employee of Rockwell International, working in the shipping department. During World War II, Wilbur served in the U.S. Navy until his discharge Jan. 22, 1945.
Wilbur is survived by his three daughters, Vicki Molinski and Kristi (Ron) Hadam of Sarasota, Fla., and Jackie (Gary) Radig of Phoenix, Ariz.; and six grandchildren.
