Ida Bell was adopted by John and Silvia Richards in Bedford, Lawrence County, Indiana when she was 2 years old. On September 18, 1888, Ida, age 18, married Hiram J. Gibson, age 22, in Tekamah, Nebraska. They had three children: Leon James (Oct. 26, 1889 - April 19, 1983), Jesse, and Edmund Richard "Hoot" Gibson. Hiram Gibson died on May 27, 1937 in San Luis Obispo, CA. Ida married Junius Anderson on Oct. 1, 1918, in Los Angeles, California.
