Germaine "Gerry" H. Wuestenhagen , 84, formerly of Sheboygan Falls, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg, WI.
Gerry was born on April 15, 1934, in Sheboygan, WI to Edmund and Veronica (Woelfel) Gehrig. She was a graduate Sheboygan North High School.
On April 7th, 1956 , Germaine married Karl Schultz. Karl preceded Gerry in death in April 1972. In June of 1976, Gerry married Ernst "Ernie" Wuestenhagen. Ernie passed away in January of 2017. Gerry worked as a medical transcriptionist at the VNA in Sheboygan.
She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church in Sheboygan and Blessed Trinity in Sheboygan Falls. She was also an active member of the Sheboygan County Quilting Guild and the Red Hats Society. She enjoyed reading, quilting, enjoying time on Wolf Lake, walking her dogs, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
Gerry is survived by one daughter, Karla (Sam) Lawrence of Poynette; two sons, Patrick (Ruth) Schultz of Madison and Tim (Joy) Wuestenhagen of North Branch, MN; seven grandchildren, Mary (Peter) Lawrence-Wehrle, Carolyn Schultz, Neal Lawrence, Nicholas Schultz, Katherine Lawrence, Aaron Wuestenhagen and David Wuestenhagen; and one sister, Barbara (Terry) Gartman of Arcadia, CA. Germaine is further survived by other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Gerry was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Karl Schultz; her second husband, Ernst "Ernie" Wuestenhagen; one sister, Mary Jane Renaud; and two brothers, Donald Gehrig, and Paul Gehrig.
A Memorial Mass to celebrate Gerry's life will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018, at 11:00 am at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Sheboygan with Fr. Gideon Buya officiating. An inurnment will take place at Wildwood Cemetery in Sheboygan.
The Wenig Funeral Home of Sheboygan Falls is serving Gerry's family with arrangements.
