Emily was the youngest daughter among the six children of Joseph Cieslikowski and Bertha Styrpejko. A very devout woman, Emily worked for Champion Spark Plug in Toledo during World War II while her future husband, Hank Radecki, fought in the Battle of the Bulge. When he returned, they married and began their family.
Emily was an excellent homemaker and wonderful mother. She appreciated the little things in life and was like a ray of sunshine, cheering all around her. Never speaking ill of others, she was a great peacemaker. An excellent baker and cook, her cheesecakes, cookies and baked goods were legendary and put smiles on many faces. Deeply religious, she loved God and remembered her family and friends in her daily prayers. In her later years, she enjoyed flower arranging and making people happy.
Each of her children entered service professions, emulating Emily's care for others. Jan is a speech therapist, Pat is a physical therapist, and Emily's twin sons are Catholic priests.
Emily will be missed by her daughters, Jan (Marty) Johnson of Eugene, OR and Pat (Steve) Hamilton of Toledo; identical twin sons, Fr. Dominic (Mark) and Fr. Francisco (Michael); grandchildren, Jenny (Jeff) Goodrich, Scott (Jenn) Johnson, Raul and Estela Johnson, Kate (Steve) Munger, Rebecca Hamilton, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 24 at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 34567 Michigan Ave. in Wayne, MI (734) 589-0621 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. A Mass will be offered on Wednesday (prayers beginning in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m.) at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 3521 Fourth St., Wayne, MI (734) 729-8228 at 10:00 a.m. The funeral Mass will be offered at Mt. St. Michael, 8500 N. St. Michael's Rd. in Spokane, WA. Her body will be interred at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Spokane.
The family thanks Joanne Mierzwiak for her compassionate care, and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their assistance and kindness.
Donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church of Wayne, MI, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, or a charity of the donor's choice.
