Sylvania – William Capers “W.C.” Anderson, age 90, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018, at Optim Medical Center-Screven. He was born in Rocky Ford, GA to the late William “Bill” Capers & Agnes Mincey Anderson. He worked as a grocery associate at Moats Supermarket for 64 years and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of Double Heads Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and a choir member. He was also a member of the American Legion in Sylvania and was a volunteer fireman and policeman for the City of Sylvania. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Wife: Clara Nunnally Anderson; Siblings: Irene A. Ashmore, Alex Earl Anderson, Sr. and George Anderson.
Visitation: Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.
Funeral Services: Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Double Heads Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Joyner officiating. Burial following at Screven County Memorial Cemetery. He will lie in state at the church from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
The family of Mr. Anderson would like to thank the Doctors and Nursing Staff of Optim Medical Center-Screven for the loving care he received at their facility.
