Nora was born August 27, 1901 in Winlock, Lewis, Washington to Rufus Jasper and Louvisa Merila (Benedict) Snow.

At a very young age, Nora fell in love with a lumberjack Burrell Rupert Willett. They were married and she bore him two sons, Gerald Rupert and Glenn Rufus Willett. On December 8, 1920 she became a widow when Burrell was killed in a logging accident. She was left alone with two small children to care for.

She fell in love again and married another logger, Lewis Lyle Hamilton. Nora and Lew had two daughters Naomi Illeane and L. Louise Hamilton. Her marriage to Lew ended in divorce.

In the early 1930's Nora met, fell in love, and married a handsome ex-marine, Charles Peters. They had four children, three sons and one daughter. Their marriage may have ended in divorce.

In addition to raising her children, Nora worked as a professional cook in logging camps above Lake Whatcom and near Wickersham, WA. She was employed as a breakfast cook in the now famous Snoqualmie Falls Lodge for many years.
