Walter C. Leachman, aged 62 years, died at his home, a mile south of the village of Lima, Sunday night, of a complication of heart and liver affections. He was stricken suddenly ten days ago, and sank rapidly.

The deceased was born in Ursa township, and had lived all his life in Adams county. His father, William Leachman, was one of the pioneers of the county. Of the parental family of six children, three sons and three daughters, there survives only one daughter, Miss Lou Leachman of near Ursa.

Deceased leaves a wife, Mrs. Perle Leachman, but no children. He had been married forty-seven years. For thirty years, he had been a member of the lodge of Masons at Marcelline, and it is likely that he will be buried under Masonic auspices.

Mrs. George McAdams, wife of the ex county treasurer, is a niece of the deceased -- a daughter of his brother, James Leachman.

The funeral will take place Wednesday forenoon, with services at the house followed by interment at New Providence cemetery, near Ursa.
