John Greene, age 79 of Maryville died Monday, March 5, 2001 at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. He was a member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church and a Veteran of World War II. He retired from ALCOA and was a member of their 25-Year Club.
Preceded in death by: Grandson, Scott Miller; Son-in-law, Jim Miller.
Survivors include: Wife, Abbie Banner Greene; Daughters, Donnie Miller of Maryville and Kathie & Husband Brickey Beasley of Maryville; Grandchildren, Maria Beasley-Willard and Husband Ned Willard of Maryville and Aaron Beasley of Atlanta, GA.
Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 7, 2001 in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Glen Grubb and Dr. Glenn Cummings officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 8, 2001 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at their convenience after 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, March 7, 2001 at Smith Mortuary.
