Catherine married Rocco J. Tutino on May 19, 1945. Rocco died May 6, 1999.
She was one of the original "Rosie the Riveters", working for General Fire Proofing during WWII. She was a member of St. Lawrence Church of Christ the King Parish and Christian Mothers. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking. She was very active and involved in the community.
Catherine is survived by her three daughters, Patricia (Frank) Karlovic, of Warren, OH, Vincie (Dominic) Greco of Edinburg, PA, and Jaconda (Dominick) Sciola of Struthers, OH; her son, James (Kim) Tutino of Louisville, OH; her brother, James Nestasie of Edinburg, PA; and sister, Anne Casamento of Warren, OH; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Nestasie, two sisters, Mary Barbero and Rose Palmer, and one granddaughter.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 7, at 10:30, at St. Lawrence Church. Father James Downs of Christ the King Parish will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:45 am. Burial will be in the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Hillsville.
