DEATHS
Allerton—A. G. Allerton, 80, died at 11 o'clock Thursday night, Oct. 5, at his home near Hamlin. Mr. Allerton had been ill for several months.
He is survived by his wife, 2 sons, Fred, of Fresno, Calif., Alpheus, of Hiawatha, 1 daughter Ellen, of the home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the home, conducted by Rev. L. L. Hassenpflug, assisted by Rev. N. J. Lewis. Burial in Hamlin cemetery.

OBITUARY
Allerton—Attila Guy Allerton was born at Waupaca, Wis., Feb. 2, 1859 of English parentage. In 1879 he came with his parents to Brown county, Kansas, settling on a raw prairie farm 4 miles northeast of Hamlin, Kans. The trip with his parents was made in a covered wagon. He spent his entire lifetime at the Kansas home decided upon by his parents. Eudora Burdick became his bride on Sept. 25, 1881, to this marriage was born a son, Fred Russell. Eudora died in the year 1902. A few years later Bettie E. Burdick, a sister of Eudora, became his second wife, to this union were born a son, daughter, Alpheus Burton, Ellen Sylvia.
Attila Allerton has been a farmer, stockman all his life—being a breeder of standard bred horses, holstein cattle. He took particular pleasure in training, caring for, racing harness horses. Up until his later years he always kept 1 or 2 horses in training at his stables. The good neighbor policy, a ready helping hand represent the essence of his lifes philosophy. He is survived by his wife Lettie, his three children.
