Dale Edward Arthur, 92, of Bloomington passed away on Sunday October 21, 2018 at Garden Villa. He was born in Bloomington, Indiana on September 13, 1926 to Ollie and Laura (Ray) Arthur. A graduate of Bloomington High School he was employed by RCA/GE until his retirement. He served in the Army during WWII. He was a member of the Fairview Methodist Church and also the local American Legion and Elks Lodge. Dale was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards at the Elks Lodge with long-time friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine (Prince) Arthur in 1990; his parents; brothers Hollis Roy, Leland, Robert, Hiram (Donnie), Russell, and Max; sisters Phyllis Black and Marjorie Wampler. He is survived by sisters Sarah (Sue) Siscoe and Carolyn Thickston, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
A celebration of Dale’s life will be held at 11:30am Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Allen Funeral Home 4155 S. Old St Rd 37 in Bloomington. With Rev George Hartzog officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until service time Friday October 26, 2018 at the funeral home.
