Paula Brian Caton Taylor, 45, of Abilene, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 after a brief illness. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 19 at the Hamby Church of Christ, with Rev. Harold Barnes, Jay Estes and Ronny Vinson officiating. Burial will follow at the Hamby Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

April 6, 1962, Paula was born in Abilene, Texas to Bryan Wayne Caton and Helen Katherine (McFerrin) Caton. She grew up on the family farm in Hamby and graduated from Eula High School in 1980. For several years Paula worked at United Supermarket on Judge Ely Boulevard. She was currently employed by Tige Boats where she was loved and respected by all of her co-workers. Paula touched so many lives during her time on earth. Her smile was unforgettable, her laughter was like sweet music and her hugs were as warming as the sunshine. She never met a stranger and always left such a lasting impression with each person she met that few could ever forget. Paula had a unique way of relating with children and they responded to her with trust and admiration. She worked hard, played hard, and loved her daughter and her family with all of her very big heart. Paula was a member of Hamby Baptist Church.

Paula's grandparents, Helen McFerrin, and Brown and Lillie Caton, preceded her in death. She is survived by her parents, Bryan and Kathy Caton of Hamby; her daughter, Katy Taylor of Abilene; her brother Browny Caton and his wife Kim of Eunice, New Mexico; one nephew Alex Caton of Abilene, Texas; and two nieces, Cayla Caton and Tabi Brooks of Eunice, New Mexico. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, family and friends.

Colby Caton, Gerrick Caton, Alex Caton, Bryan McFerrin, Joe Box, Kelby Robinson, Andy Robinson and Shawn Lewis will serve as pallbearers.

Memorial donations may be made in honor of Paula Taylor to Hendrick Hospice Care, 1682 Hickory Street, Abilene, Texas 79601 or to the donor's favorite charity.
