Marilyn Baird, age 88 of Dayton, went to be with her Savior on October 25, 2018. She was born June 20, 1930 in Dayton, Ohio to the late William and Mildred Schmidt. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her son, James W. Baird, Jr.; brothers: William Schmidt and Rick Schmidt; and sister, Arlene Cleary.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 68 years, James "Walter" Baird; children: Lynda (Richard) Springer, Joe (Jean) Baird, Matt (Julie) Baird and Emily (Chad) Bresson; 9 grandchildren: Amy (George), Mark (Rachel), Stephanie (Dwight), Candace (Ryan), Andrea (Bill), David (April), Gabrielle, Noelle and Luke; 6 great-grandchildren: Jacob, Calvin, Isaac, Jenna, Zoey and Zachary; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marilyn was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church for 55 years. Marilyn was a loving wife and a devoted mother and grandmother. Christ's love for Marilyn was the motivation of how she lived her life, always putting others before herself.
