Tina Lou lived all of her life in Lindsay and Erin Springs. In 1947, she married the love of her life, Delno Scruggs. They were the proud parents of six children, “the six-pack”, Joy Stewart, Kenneth Scruggs and wife Linda, Della Thomas and husband Mike, Becky White and husband Carlton, Ricky Scruggs, and Twana Shoemake and husband Glen, all of Lindsay. She was a very dedicated wife and mother who loved her family dearly. She was a member of the Erin Springs Church of God.
Tina Lou worked in many different occupations, but her favorite was being a wife, mom, and grandmother. She worked at the bowling alley, florist, as a waitress, operated the Mistletoe Express, managed Ballard’s drive-in, and service manager at Walmart.
She is survived by her children, Joy, Kenny and wife Linda, Della and husband Mike, Becky and husband Carlton, and Twana and husband Glen; fifteen grandchildren- Monica Meek and Danny, Billie Webb and Ray, Kevin Scruggs and Brittany, Marisa Stevens and Luke, Brandon Thomas and Becky, Brandi Bussard and Curtis, Curtis White and Kira, Jonathan White and Bridgett, Krystal Hunter and Travis, Clint Scruggs and Tommy, Kyle Scruggs and Kelsey, Dawn Gilreath and Trent, Chelsie Cannon and Isaac, Taylor Shoemake, and Tanner Shoemake; forty-one great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Taylor and husband Don; a brother, Leon Adkisson and wife Leta Kay, and three sisters-in-law Beth Dutton, Jewel Keeler, and Jean Scruggs; six nieces and four nephews, a host of cousins, and extended family, Sandra, Dru, and Kristian Burns. Also her special caregiver girls, Donna Baker, Lori Baker, Jennifer Coles, and Chelsea Mock, and her “kids”, Tater Bug and Pumpkin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Ricky, one son-in-law, Bob Stewart, three great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, three brothers, Cecil, Billy, and Ben Dutton, and a host of other relatives.
Our matriarch is gone, but in our hearts, she will live forever.
A Funeral Service to honor the life of Tina Lou is set to begin Tuesday October 30, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Erin Springs Baptist Church in Erin Springs, Oklahoma. Following the service she will be laid to her final rest at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma.
