Emma Rose Dorsey Eads Conley Absher, 92, of Drennen, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 26, 2018, at her daughters residence.

Emma Rose was born December 9, 1925 in Nicholas County to the late Joseph Clarence Dorsey and Annie May Levisay. She was also preceded in death by her sister June Dorsey and brother Carl Dorsey.

Rose faithfully attended the Gilboa Church of God. She loved singing and teaching the Word of God. She worked as postmaster at Drennen for twenty years. She was a member of the Summersville Book Club, and the only National Organization of Postmasters (NAPUS).

Rose is survived by daughter, Nancy Eads Brown (Dale) of Teays Valley; grandchildren, Tracy Farmer (JC), Tammy Legg (Chris), Tiffany Buettner (Christian), Tara Simpkins (James); nine great grandchildren; five great great granchildren; and sisters, Ruby Hicks, Beulah Summers, Carol Forloine.

A graveside service will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 31, at Montgomery Memorial Park, London, WV.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Hospice Care at 1606 Kanawha Blvd. W. Charleston WV 25387.
