Thomas was born in England; naturalized Storey County Nevada, October 18, 1880. He mined for twenty-five to thirty years at Tombstone and Gleeson, developing the Hidden Treasure Mine in the later district. He was elected constable of Tombstone in November 1892. He died in Phoenix December 28, 1929; survived by son Jack and a daughter, Lois Kuckenbecker of Los Angeles. His wife, Mary, died at Tombstone of typhoid fever November 15, 1891.
