Samuel E. Wiser, grandfather of Mill Valley Fire Chief Leslie Armager, died yesterday at his Mill Valley home after a long illness. He was born in Illinois 86 years ago.
A retired carpenter, Wiser made his home at 181 Miller Avenue, with his wife, Mrs. Martha Stella Wiser, who survives him. They had lived in Mill Valley for the past 49 years.
He is also survived by a son, Carl Wiser, 3 daughters; Mrs. Mae Martin, Mrs. Macel Justice, and Mrs. Cleone Marchisio; his grandson, Armager, and 7 other grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
Burial will be in Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.
