She was very active in her church, holding many positions and serving as a Certified Lay Speaker since 1982.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Fordis and Eva; and step-sister, Betty LaPlant.
Helen is survived by her her brothers: Kenneth (Ramona) Averill and David (Christie) Averill; and step-sister, Karen Benson.
Inurnment will be at Macville Cemetery in Swatara, MN.
