James "Son" Henry Adams was born February 12, 1938 in Holcomb, Mississippi to Edgar and Alice Adams. He was the first born of thirteen children. He departed this life on Friday, September 30, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Alice Adams, stepmother, M. Q. Adams, daughter, Beatrice "Bea" Adams, brothers Buddy and Joe Adams.
