Calling hours for Samantha Jo Wysong, 24, Miller Road, DeLand, who died Friday, May 5, 2006, in an automobile accident, will be from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, at Lankford Funeral Home, 220 E. New York Ave. Funeral service and burial will be held at Sunset Gardens in Kokomo, Ind. Samantha was born in Boulder, Colo., and moved to this area in 1987 from Kokomo, Ind. She was a graduate of DeLand High School, Class of 2000. She enjoyed spending time with her family, extended family and close friends. She is survived by her father and stepmother, Gary and Dawn Wysong, Kokomo; mother and stepfather, Leota and Bob Will, Rossville, Ind.; paternal grandmother, Reba Wysong, Kokomo; steppaternal grandparents, Vernon and Betty Sewell, Russiaville, Ind.; maternal grandparents, Nancy and Bob Corwin, Florida; brother, Jordon Wysong, Kokomo; sister, Jessica Cook, Sheridan Ind.; stepbrothers, Casey Ling, Kokomo, and Justin Will, Florida; stepsisters, Trish Ling, Kokomo, and Brittney Will, Florida. Also surviving are Alan and Kora Cook, Sheridan, Ind.; her companion, Jason Gunn, and his son, Elijiah; and many aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Robert Wysong, great-grandparents, Westie and Leota McNeally; and nephew, Wyatt Cook. Lankford Funeral Home is in charge.
