Herman J. Kuschel, 80, of 1821 E. Erb St., Appleton, died at 4 p.m. Friday at his home.

Born Oct. 14, 1886, in the Town of Union in Waupaca County, he married the former Mayme Foral. Before moving to Appleton 26 years ago, he operated several cheese factories in the area.

Survivors include his widow; one daughter, Mrs. H. Marckus Schwartz of Menominee; two sons, Jerome of Appleton and Rev. B. G. Kuschel of North Fond du Lac; two brothers, Edward of Oconto and Richard of De Pere; two sisters, Miss Burtha Orth and Mrs. Chris Martin, both of Milwaukee and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bethany Lutheran Church in Appleton, Rev. Lyle J. Koenig officiating.

Friends may call at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., Appleton, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services.
