Colleen Avon (Bellefeuille) Okerson, 87

Colleen was raised in Mahnomen, MN and then lived for many years in Maplewood raising her family.
She married Thomas "Tom" Okerson, and they were blessed with eight childen.
Colleen was a member of the American Legion and VFW Woman's Auxiliaries and was a Business Administrator for Innsbrook Nursing Home.
Colleen Avon Okeson, 87, of Maplewood, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tom, and son-in-law Carl Fultz.
Left to honor her memory are her children: Mark (Lisa), Kathy (Frank) Boyer, Stephanie Okerson, Barbara (Jim) Swifka, Melissa Okerson, Natalie (Rolland "Bud") Mallin, and Anita (Earl) Pratt; daughter-in-law Susan Okerson and son-in-law Gary Russell; 21 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister Carol Johnson and brothers Duane, Phillip, and Steven Bellefeuille. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, And friends.
As a member of the greatest generation, we thank you, Mom, for your strength, loving memories and traditions that will carry on for generations to come.
Special thanks to the HealthEast Hospice and Pillar of Oakdale. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Friday at Assumption Catholic Church (Callaway, MN). Visitation 5 to 8PM Wednesday at the Roseville Memorial Chapel, (2245 N. Hamline Ave., Roseville) and one hour prior to Mass at church Friday. Interment St. Michael's Cemetery, Mahnomen, MN. The family requests that memorials in her name be given to Pillars of Oakdale.
