Norman Rhoades worked as a produce dealer early in life and owned a store in Stanton, Mich at what was called "Rhoades Corner", which I believe was at M-66 and the main road through town.
He married Nora J Miller (daughter of John James and Mary Ann King Miller) on 06 Oct 1907 in Stanton and, like his parents, had 12 children. One of his daughters, now deceased, says that his real name was John Norman Rhoades rather than Norman John. I have not yet been able to confirm that, however the death certificate does have Norman John.
After they sold the store, they moved to a home on Bluewater Hwy (M-21) in Saranac.
