LONGVIEW — Curtis Sidney Bell, 95, of Marshall, TX died peacefully on November 6, 2018 at his son's home in Longview, TX. Curtis was born in Brookeland, TX on August 6, 1923 to Sidney and Ethyl (Lakey) Bell. He was an Army Veteran of WWII and saw action in the Philippines and Japan. After the war, Curtis was a Boilermaker by trade and worked in the East Texas area. he married Jean Silcox in December of 1943 and had seven children. Jean died in February of 2003 after 60 years of marriage.
Curtis is survived by Barbara Tolar of Hallsville, Jackie Bell of Longview, Shirley Bell of Longview, Randy Bell of Houston and Tim Bell of Houston. He is also survived by 17 grand children, several great grand children and one great great grandchild!
Curtis was preceded in death by his wife Jean, son, Curtis Raye Bell and daughter Alice Faye Bell.
