William Carl "Bill" Hardin, 84, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018. He was born on February 25, 1934, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Harry Charles, Sr., and Martha (Grose) Hardin
He was a long-time member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church and the Laborers International Union #795. Bill worked for L. Thorn Company for 30 years until his retirement. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army who served in Korea.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Harry Hardin, Jr., Melvin Hardin, Donald Hardin, Louise Barker, Wanda Atwood, Irma Moore, Mary Lou Ramsey, Jeanetta Melton, and Norma Hardin.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church Chapel (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs, Indiana 47119) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
