Funeral services for Abraham Lincoln McBeth, Jr., 56 of Brazoria will be Friday, July 25, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Brazoria with Elder Roland K. Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow at Mims Cemetery in Brazoria, Texas. He died Monday, July 21, 2008 at Brazosport Regional Health System in Lake Jackson, Texas. He was a member of Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He loved sports. He graduated from Columbia High School in the Class of 1970. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Abraham Lincoln McBeth, Sr.. He is survived by his loving mother, Dessie Ree McBeth, Brazoria, brother, George Thomas McBeth, Houston, sisters, Carolyn Jean Simple (Kenneth), Bar-X-Angleton, Odella Caldwell, Brazoria and Ella Marie Johnson (Samuel), Cypress, Texas and other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers will be Wilbert Hall, James Polk, Ben Mack, jr., Willie Myles, Darnell Mack and Sherwin Simple. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth C. Simple, Eric D.
