LILLIAN FRANCES NISBET (NEE NOWICKI)

Lillian was born on a dairy farm in Thorp, Wisconsin to Thomas and Stella Nowicki. In 1942, the family moved to Chicago where she attended Jones Commercial High School, taking secretarial courses. She went to work at National Can Corporation as a switchboard operator, where she met her future husband Bill. They married on September 7, 1957, started a family, then moved to California in 1963. The family settled in Upland in 1966 where Lillian was a homemaker and later worked as a secretary for Buck’s Plating in Upland. She also received her license in real estate. She and Bill enjoyed traveling, taking trips to Mexico and many places in Europe. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Church in Upland and was a member of Fun After Fifty, working in Membership and as the Treasurer for many years.

Lillian is predeceased by her parents Thomas and Stella, her siblings Walter Nowicki, Joseph Nowicki, and Florence Krol, her husband William, and her son Billy. She is survived by her daughters Barbara Davis (Alan), Carol Nisbet, and Allison Lee (Chris). She is the beloved “Grandma GoGo” to her grandchildren Matthew and Ryan Shannon, Grant Davis (Sarah), and Joshua and Katelyn Nisbet. She has three great-grandchildren, Lillian Hubbs, Ayva Hubbs, and Kasadie Shannon. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Arrangements by Stone Funeral Home, 355 E. 9th Street, Upland, CA 91786. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, November 14 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 2110 N. San Antonio Avenue, Upland, CA 91784. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn, Covina Hills.
