John Stephen “Steve” Dillard, 69, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 2018, in the Chapel of Bowen Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. Mr. Dillard will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 28, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Born October 29, 1948 in Tift County, Mr. Dillard was the son of the late Lloyd Dillard sand Edna Eulala Tyson Dillard. He was also preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Lloyd Dillard. He had an Associate degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and retired from Union Camp. He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force and of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Dillard is survived by his wife, Verla Kay Scarborough Dillard of Enigma; one son,; one daughter; one sister; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Service for the Dillard Family were under the care and direction of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
