Anne was born in Manitowoc on May 7, 1923 to the late Max and Veronica (Skladge) Jagodinsky. She was married to Richard L. Ellig on August 20, 1949, and they had two sons: Nicholas R. Ellig (Donna), Moorhead MN and Brian R. Ellig (Karol), Ballston Spa NY. Richard preceded her in death on August 13, 1987. Anne was a graduate of Lincoln High School (1941) and Wood Business College (1943). She was employed in the accounting office of the Manitowoc Company during the Second World War and later worked in the Register of Deeds Office at the Manitowoc County Court House. Anne is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law; sister, Joan Doolan; brother-in-law, John Doolan; and nephew, Tom Doolan, all of Manitowoc; and also other members of her extended family. Anne is also survived by her two special friends, Rose and Steve Vohwinkel of Manitowoc. Anne was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and of the Catholic Women’s Club. She volunteered in many community organizations. Anne was an avid reader, loved gardening, crafts, decorating and cooking for her family.
There will be a private celebration of Anne’s life at a later date. She will be interred next to her beloved husband Richard in the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
