"Jean Bassindale nee Connell, 91, of Elmhurst. Beloved wife of the late Robert I.; cherished mother of David and Brian (Donna); grandmother of Maria (Brian) Gavin, Melissa (Ian) James and Daniel Bassindale; great grandmother of Johnathan, David, Anna, Julia, Alistair and Ava; sister of Kate (the late Alan) Allured, Barbara (the late Frank) Manley and William (Jacquelyn) Connell; aunt of many nieces and nephews. Jean was a dedicated Special Education Teacher in the Chicago Public Schools. After retiring she tutored many students in her home and reluctantly gave up this calling when her health, strength and energy no longer permitted her calling in this life. Interment private at Union Cemetery, Menomonee Falls, WI next to her late husband, parents and many other family members who predeceased her."
