John L. Brooks, age 36, passed away January 15, 1995, in Green Bay after a courageous battle with cancer.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 1995, at Knollwood Chapel with burial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Manitowoc. Cremation took place on Wednesday, January 18, 1995.
He was born in Manitowoc October 8, 1958, son of John R. Brooks and the late Iva Vaughn. He served with the United States Army, stationed in Germany.
Survivors include his father, John; one brother, Gene (Linda) Brooks, Bolingbrook, Ill.; three children, Jacob, Samantha and Sabrina, Manitowoc; aunts and uncles, Gene and Darlene Lorge, Manitowoc, Darlene Schnorr, Two Rivers; one sister-in-law, Sandy Brooks-Vanderbloemen, Two Rivers. Also, his special friend, Nancy Pankratz, and her two daughters, Holly and Catherine, Green Bay. He was preceded in death by one brother, Mark, and his mother, Iva.
