Lendsey Coe, age 74, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2002 at Mount Sinai Samaritan Hospital in Milwaukee after a short illness. Lendsey had been a resident of St. Mary’s Home for the past few years.

Lendsey was born Sept. 24, 1927 at Bement, Ill., son of Eva (Ard) and John Coe. He married Vivian Moderhack Budan, Dec. 30, 1953 in Chicago. She preceded him in death on April 2, 1999. Lendsey retired from Fisher Hamilton in 1990. He was a member of the Eagles Club of Manitowoc and was the president of the Resident Council at St. Mary’s. He was an avid NASCAR and Packer fan.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Judie (Jim) Tadych of Manitowoc; and Dee Ann (Richard) Gove of Two Rivers; two sons and daughters-in-law: John (Linda) Budan of Newberg, Ore.; and David (Helen) Budan of Manitowoc; one brother: Harold “Buster” Coe of Loda, Ill. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, his very special friend, Gordon Powalisz; and his “other” family and friends at St. Mary’s. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, an infant son and one brother.

Jens Family Funeral Home and Crematory, Manitowoc, will be in charge of cremation and burial. There will be no visitation. A private prayer service will be held at St. Mary’s Home. Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Chapel, c/o Father Tom.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary’s for their loving care and friendship. Thank you Father Tom and thank you to Dr. Mike Hoftiezer and his staff. Thank you all for loving him as we did.
