Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Mae Ashley will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, with Reverend Greg Willis officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mrs. Ashley, 84, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Monday, November 19, 2018 in Allen Oaks Nursing Home, Oakdale, LA.
She was a longtime member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she played the chimes. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Romelzy and Evie Coker; her husband, Charles Ashley; two sons, Alton Odom and Charles Odom; two grandchildren, Kevin Thompson and Melissa Mills; two great grandchildren; five brothers; one sister and fur baby, Duke.
Friends may call Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
