Union, Sept 10 - Henry B Dowdy died at his home near Union at 20 minutes of 6 o'clock on Sept 8, of typhoid fever. For three weeks he had been ill of this evil disease. Every possible attention was given him, a trained nurse, Miss Robbie Glover, was secured and the scourge fought step by step, but in vain. Mr Dowdy was 47 years of age. He was an energetic and industrious man and had conducted the business of a butcher here for some years.
