She is the daughter of the late John Tzystuck and Mary [Zilinski] Tzystuck.
She died Friday, May 17, 2002 in a Charleston, West Virginia hospital.
She was a member of the MacArthur Church of God. She had worked as a nursing assistant at Beckley Hospital and Raleigh General Hospital. She enjoyed helping others; cooking; decorating her home; and gardening.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Johnny, Joe, Harry, George and Danny Tzystuck.
Survivors, her husband of 50 years, Oran Elbert Akers; a son, Ronald Gary Akers a grand-daughter, Trudy Akers; four sisters, Mary Bowman ((husband Tim), Pauline Meadows (husband Roger), Helen Garrett, and Catherine Stospal; four brothers, Billy Tzystuck (wife Louise), Charlie Tzystuck (wife Linda), Jackie Tzystuck (wife Elizabeth), and Fred Tzystuck (wife Patty); and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2002 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel at Prosperity, West Virginia with the Rev. Otis Clyburn and Pastor Mark Schrade officiating. Music for the service provided by Buzz Keller of Mabscott Holiness Church and singers from the Mabscott Church of God. Entombment in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum of Faith at Prosperity, West Virginia.
