Mr. Warrington, a native of Jamesville, N.C., was employed with C & P Telephone Co. He was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America and was a charter member of the Old Virginia Beach Athletic Club and 78th Street Beach Bullies. He was an Army veteran and had played Triple-A league semi-professional baseball.
Survivors include his mother, Margarette M. Warrington, and a sister, Joyce W. Council, both of Chesapeake.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. Jay F. Ashby. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home and other times at 4110 Shawnee Road, Chesapeake.
