He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Jane Aubrey Abbott and his oldest daughter, Janice Lynn Abbott Howard. He is survived by his second wife, Wanda Abbott and his two children from his first marriage, Beverly Abbott Price and Catherine Abbott Reed and her husband, Dr. Jim Reed. He has two grandchildren, Crystal Ann Johnson-Heard and Melissa Sue Harper Jaegers and four great-grandchildren, Kiera, Kaylie, Bryanna and Dominic.
He will be interned in Shreveport, LA where his life will be celebrated by his family.
