Pedro B. Garcia, 79, of 1702 E. Harrison St., died Sunday at his residence .
A lifelong Brownsville resident, he was a member of Immaculate Conception Cathedral, of John Hanson Post 43 of the American Legion and was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Beatriz L. Garcia of Brownsville, a son, Juan B. Garcia of Brownsville; a daughter, Mrs. Herlinda G. Martinez of San Jose, Calif.; an adopted son, Francisco Olvera, adopted daughter, Maria Everett, both of San Antonio; a sister, Mrs. Francisca Garcia of Harlingen, and a brother, Meliton Garcia of Brownsville.
Funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 4 pm at Immaculate Conception Cathedral with interment at City Cemetery.
Military services will be conducted by the American Legion and the National Guard.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Darling Mouser.
