Gilbert J. Krcma, age 99, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.

Gil was born on March 24, 1919 in Manitowoc, son to Charlie & Emily (Stangel) Krcma. He graduated from Mishicot High School class of 1936. Gil served in the U.S Army for 4 years as a technician 5th grade anti-aircraft battalion. He was discharged October 6th 1945. On November 15, 1947 Gil married Carol Peck. Gil enjoyed bowling on the Knights of Columbus team for many years, and also enjoyed playing golf with his friends. Everyone who knew Gil knows his biggest hobby was repairing vintage clocks & any objects with mechanical devices. He truly enjoyed helping anyone who had problems with any type office equipment.

Survivors include his wife: Carol; children: John (Brenda) Krcma; Thomas (Robin) Krcma; David (Laura) Krcma; Patricia (Kevin) Nadeau; Christopher (Ellen) Krcma; Mark (Judy) Krcma; Phillip (Tammy) Krcma; grandchildren include: Nicole (Corey) Lodel; great granddaughter: Shelly, Tyson (Kristine); great granddaughter: Lilly, Marshal (Sara), Jason (Cindy) Krcma, Parker Nadeau, Chad Krcma; great-grandsons: Jonathan, Rhys. Casey Krcma (Allie), Jennifer (Steven) Siders; great-granddaughters: Kassie (Quentin) Tesarik, Sierra Siders & Savannah Siders, Greg Krcma; three sisters and one brother-in-law: Marge Luckow; Lorraine Kochan; Kathy (Frank) Zeman; one brother and five sisters-in-law: Daniel Krcma; Kay Krcma; Lorraine Krcma; Clara Krcma; Germaine Ferrell; Lu Dene Decker; one brother-in-law: Earling (Sandy) Peck, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Charlie & Emily Krcma; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Adeline (Milton) Zander, Leona (Virgil) Zipperer; six brothers and three sisters-in-law: Francis (Etta) Krcma; Charles Krcma; Emil (Lorraine) Krcma; Eugene (Rita) Krcma; Paul Krcma; Joe Krcma; three brothers-in-law: Donald Kochan; Eugene Decker; Robert Farrell.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. David Pleier will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
